Just practising on the macro mode of my Minolta F300 .I quite like close up stuff ,when i took it ,it looked as thoguh it just needed a little tweak in photoshop elements .This is my first proper go at close up work,just wandering if anybody got any comments,i have tweaked it too much. only

Great colour but just a tad to fussy with all that background detracting from the main subject flower.

Ian, its a very nice picture maybe a little over saturated and contrast slightly too high... but it not bad at all Smile

Lovely shot but I agree with Rob in terms of the oversaturated color and contrast. It would be an intersting experiment to isolate the central flower by either using flashlight and spotlight lighting effects in PS. If you have a graphics tablet i.e. Wacom, you could also draw around the flowers edge and create a copy without the backround. A great shot for your first attempt in macro mode. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments ,much appreciated,i agree i think i did over do the colour & contrast.Ive been doing some experimenting with PS Elements with the flash light or spot light as u suggested ,to be honest didnt even know it was there,but yes im impressed.
