Undeniably the best piazza in Naples with the San Francesco di Paola church. But, it's dirty and could do with a real good clean up, as could the rest of the city. But, it's great for photography...........

Great pov and a wonderful perspective. The colour of the sky balances perfectly with the flagstones. Lovely image.

i love the comp with that lead in. like the way the colour in the sky compliments the paving. interested to see the mono version.lesley

Thanks for the comments. Re toning, actually there isn't any guys. This is out of the camera and levels selectively altered to balance the exposure and curves used to darken the sky. A bit of sharpening and that was it.

I've only ever passed through Naples [it doesn't have a great reputation], so I was surprised to see such a cracker of a shot - on a gloomy day at that. Superb composition and tones too - I expect it would look good in mono, but I can't help feel it would lose some of the atmosphere the blue tones are giving this.

Hi Terry,

I use a Nikon D 300s and I used my trusty sigma 10-20mm lens. Shot at F11.
