Thank you for c'c on the two Hippo's comming to blows - no punn intended Wink
On our way into the Kruger we cross the Crocodile river and it is always worth a stop and browse before you go through the gate at Malelane and this was no exeption to the rule - we were entertained by the Pied Kingfishers actively hunting - the challenge then was to capture them in flight/hover and this is one of my attempts - gray

What a fascinating bird Graham and although it is a shot from the rear its a great way of showing off his incredible plumage. Great capture.

In flight Shot of this beauty, very well timed Gray and the added colour in the b/g has bought out the birds plumage even more so.
great shot

Well captured Graham, last time I saw these was on the river Nile a few years ago, a beautiful bird to watch. From my own experience they hover quite high like this and at a distance so you did well here,
Geoff.

Incredible shot Graham, shows the plummage off really well with just enough motion in the wing tips to show it is real. Well captured mate.

Paul
