Mellon Udrigle, Laide, Scotland.

A perfect late winter morning a few minutes after sunrise at my favourite Scottish beach Mellon Udrigle. I never tire of this place and inspiration just washes over me like the soft pink light of this beautiful new day. I arrived very early and scouted a perfect textured but otherwise unblemished section of beach and divided the scene as precisely as I could into three equal areas of earth, sea and sky, only the mountain range behind softly alters the geometry of balance.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, 0.45ND hard edged grad, f/22 at 2 seconds. Velvia.

Terrific photo, you utilise the Pentax 67's 55-100 lens very well.
I haven't been able to get anything 1/2 as good.

A really calming image. I love the simple understated beauty of both the scene and the photography. Makes me want to be up there now Smile
