I know it was raining last night but I went out with friends shooting anyway.
As I arrived at the meeting place this couple were sitting right in front of where I parked, I couldn’t get my camera out the boot quick enough. I know the sky is not as moody as I would have liked but it was a rush job and they moved before it got any darker and I don’t have an ND grad filter....... yet
ISO 200 20mm f 5.6 1/50 sec
adjusted curves added a teensy bit of vignetting as it was darker on the lhs anyway, storm brewing...couldnt make my mind up to add or leave the vignetting so without vignetting it is behind this one
(sorry if you clicked on the first upload
)
Thanks as always

Excellent shot, great sky and comp, I like V2 better myself, I may have crop it slightly closer. Great work

Like it. The vignetting adds to the effectiveness of the image, but seems a little strong on the left for my taste. Great shot.

i like the central area and the dark colours work well with the pink umberella, for me, the probem is the heavy vignetting merges with the black background. alternatives would have been a white stroke to seperate the black from black, or a white background, and for me, i may even have considered a square crop with the umberella bang centre,
great idea, pictures good but if you dont mind me saying, the background is too similar to the image.

D, I love the shot. Love the texture in the concrete. Love the lines of perspective. Love the focus of interest, Love the sky. Happy with the slight vignette on the right. Too much vignette for me on the left. IMHO. But what do I know? You're the ace of the base ![]()
Thanks everyone…What a lot of great and very constructive comments/critique ..thanks so very much …there were heavy clouds to the RHS…it was raining when I took this …and so… as the vignetting added to the ‘feel’ of the image I think my error was adding a black border to it, which may have over-emphasised the vignetting, and made it too dark…but I love it this way …hey ho !
thanks for the RC
and thanks as always for all the c&c's

I like the vignetted version best helps to focus the attention on the seat couple, love the colours of the sky and concrete. The low shooting angle works very well too. Congrats.
Not sure I like the vignetting. Love the composition. The central couple wouldn't be the same without those two lines. Good title as the pink is what hits you as you move into the shot
