I have just got back from a work trip to Orkney.
I did manage some photography but mainly in the late evening.
This is one of the sea stacks at Yesnaby on the Mainland.

this just drips with quality Simon. The stack positioned centrally, surrounded as it is by that bright patch of sea and sky, works a treat.

Late evening is just fine for the quality of work you produce, I wish I could get half way there.
Great detailed colour composition, such beautiful tones in the water and sky, and my favourite wee flowers in the foreground.
Excellent opener to what I am sure is a series to delight us all.

All the very best and welcome back,
Dougie

atmospheric and nicely composed with enough detail to hold the interest

All the elements are perfectly in place - the centrally placed stack sitting comfortably below the horizon line and in the midst of that brighter section of water beneath the break in the clouds; the spread of flowers extending across the foreground. An absolute dream.
