Last three from the Floriade Flower Festival. Standard fare. I was going to lead with v2 but couldn't think of a suitable title!
v1 - the Pitcher plant
v2 - A Passion Flower
v3 - the carpet of flowers that adorned the verges in the coach park!
Many thanks for the comments on my 'Oddities' although I'm not sure why you kept picking on my knees - that's what I used to do with my scabs there when I was a kid!
Iso I think was 200 on these, standard settings, hand held with no flash.
3 super images Dave, great detail and colour in all,
Strong central composition.
Well there seem to be a great number of meadow flowers uploaded recently and v3 is about as varied in colour as they come
I'm not greatly enamoured with the shape of v1- but its a lovely capture
Its v2 that gets my vote, which looks like a blue Catherine Wheel to me
All so different each from the other and all beautifully captured. The details in V1 and V2 are excellent but after considerable thought, I'm going for V3. What a glorious sight!
Three top class images, Dave, but V.3 just has to get my vote, what a wonderful riot of colour. Carol
Three very different images, each captured so well and in fine detail, Dave: can't choose a favourite so it'll have to be 1/3 vote per shot.
Excellent set Dave all superb, V3 love the colours, V2 the blue of the petal thingies awesome, V1 just amazing detail. V3 for me by a small margin for the abundance of colour.
A rather exquisite trio of so richly colourful images, superb detail, and so very well composed and captured, certainly three to be admired. The photograph depicting the Pitcher Plant brought back many memories of working in Borneo, and Papa New Guinea, stunning, and a great source of crisp cooling water.
Think they are all superb captures enough to brighten the dullest day's, but V2 does stand out for me Dave, excellent set.
All three captured well, good title good idea the detail as always is spot on as you would expect from you Dave, great work, well presented.
Superb set of images, wonderful colours and detail, by a very short head V2 is my favourite
A delightful set of images.
An unusual beast, V1, a vegetable tenor saxophone
I have to go for V3, a sight I would love to see in our 'garden' . . .
They all deserve individual recognition - they are all very beautiful.
Dave, another great set, v1 and v2 are very nice with great colour and detail, but for some strange feeling I am very drawn to v3, perhaps all the fantastic colours in a way make you feel relaxed.........fantastic image to finish set.....
Lovely set here Dave.
Three beautiful captures, but v3 for me - Monet's tongue would be hanging out, like mine, if he saw this stunning array of colourful flowers ... Carol
What a great set ....
no favourites here ... but there could be some fun titles for V2 ...
Great and interesting series of images.
Blue passion perhaps! love all three very nice! regards Leon.
I love all three so won't choose a favourite.
V1 is most interesting and very beautiful.
V2 is has lovely contrast.
V3 - the poppies stand out in just the right position.
all excellent possibly just possibly V3 my fav
Number one is very intriguing and interesting. Number two is better than the ones I have in my garden! Number three is my favorite today for the huge contrast of colours and variety. IB
wonderful set dave brilliant detail super colours and tones v3 for me today a real cracker nice one
All three are very good but V3 gets it for me. I love all the colors and varieties of flowers, Patti
Dave, a super set of images. I, personally, am impressed by the V2 as the central pieces of the flower are so carefully arranged by the nature and brilliantly presented by you. Deep
Three beauties here, Dave, each quite different, but each equally lovely...though I am rather biased towards V2....
Three absolute Gems, If I had to chose probably V2 but what a hard decision. - gary
Not at all sure about v1 Dave (sorry but it's not my sort of thing - although Bill's description is very apt! ) but love v2 and especially v3!
Just had another look at it - it really does look quite rude! It's got me chuckling now...
Nice composition, signature sharpness in all three. V1 and 2, I may have been tempted to blur the background slightly more or desaturate in PS or use a longer zoom lens at its longest focal length and at its widest aperture . Clearly there was limited room between the subject and the background. V3 is my favourite despite it recreates one of the many green areas within the Olympic Park where I have spent far too much time lol
Well good captures Dave and a big Wow for the stunning V3 outstanding.
A lovely trio with V3 for me. Such a large assortment of flowers making a fantastic display.
Well done. WesternRed.
Can't decide myself... But v1 is certainly the most e.x.otic one!
Lovely set, Dave.
Superb floral images..all three of them.
great set Dave, i would favour v3 for the amount of colour, lovely shot.
What a beautiful trio of images I think my favourite has to be V3 - Elizabeth xx
Stunning detail on all three, Dave, well done.
Superbly done,Dave. As flower, I love V2, I didn't know it was passion flower before.. I saw some in the garden..beautiful indeed.
BTW, thank you for your compliment.
The pitcher plant is attractive and unusual, Dave, and the blue passion flower is a delight. I have planted a blue one and am going to give it an arch to climb up in the next few days. The wildflower meadow is so beautiful, I haven't seen anything like this for years.
Stunning detail on all three images Dave, excellent captures..Lin
I thought your V3 better than my flower spectacle could almost be the same field and for all I know it may well be fantastic shot - love V2 for the clearly defined petals
V3 is just wonderful Dave, A riot of colour.
Great set of shots Dave and too difficult to choose a favourite.
I have a carpet of flowers like V3 - but folk tell me they are weeds .
Fantastic detail, superb work
Excellent capture Dave, you done fabulous job capturing beauty of nature precisely. Everything made by nature is second to none. All images are amazing.
Three beautiful images Dave, V2 for me, Peter..
Definitely V2 for me Dave 100% a stunner
all good in their own way
but V2 is a wow!
3 great images, V3 for me, the colours are fab. Elaine
Yes,V2 steals the show here Dave.
I would have called it,
''Not bad for someone who picked the scabs of his knees when he was a kid'' !!
Three great pictures although none of the two first will grow in my garden
Three fine captures Dave, colours and good details too
All three photos deserve the highest ratings, Dave, but V3 is my favorite!
Ohhh...I LOVE pitchers and the one in V1 is a beaut. Sadly there were virtually none at this year's flower show. 2 years ago, there was an AWESOME pitcher plant display.
Speaking of awesome, your shot of the Passiflora in V2 is...well...wow.
Lovely mix of colours and flowers in V3.
Great upload, Dave
Dave, I didn't get the chance to comment earlier, but the award is for V2, a terrific image very well captured.
Great Macro & Flower Set,...with v2 being my Favorite ~ Peter
Every one a stunner, Dave: I can't think of one I like more than the others.
Good set all of interest and well shot.
Great variety.. And all beautifully captured.. V2 for the clarity & wonderful details captured..
V3 is a gorgeous splash of colour.. An artists palette..
Got in too late, all of the above. Inspirational.
Luv all 3 images, absolutely stunning!
Focal point and detail spot on!
V2 the passion flower is my favourite, such marvellous colours and details you've captured in that one
