Another one from my recent trip to the Italian Alps. Plateau Rosa, on the left, is at 3450m altitude. Just on its right (but actually quite someway behind) is the Glacier of Zermatt-Cervinia, also known as the "Gobba di Rollin" by the locals.

The picture is a hi-resolution scan of the original 645 slide.

has to be seen large - super sense of scale indicated by the presence of the building at the top - great clarity
