Another shot of my friend Daniel, conducting l'Harmonie Municipale de Mitry-Mory in a Gala Concert. With Johnny Depp looking on, courtesy of some local art students.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

definitely has power and is a well captured moment
Quote: Lovely use of diagonals here
Thanks for noticing, Helen ![]()
And thanks to everyone who has called in here this morning.
A brief update - we got our little exhibition set up at the library yesterday, just a few details to sort out this afternoon.
I am vaguely aware that I haven't cleaned the house for weeks, but it can wait a bit longer...

I am becoming aware that I can write in the dust too - but have been putting it off until the coughing stopped ![]()

Hope all goes well with the exhibition

Thanks for that Gary - I wanted the space of a square crop, it took several attempts to get it right!
Cheers everyone, it's nearly the weekend! ![]()

Diagonals, format, pov and Johnny Depp - well composed and I'm glad in mono, or I think Johnny would have been overwhelming ![]()
Anne
A well conducted shot, Moira!
Very nicely composed, and as Helen says, good use of diagonals - when you take time to look around, they're all over the place ![]()

The lead violin waiting for the point to rejoin the music, love the monochrome here Moira, beautifully clean. Too much to hope that the music was "Pirates of Penzance" ?

Quote: Interesting to note what has caught Johnny's eye here Moira !!
Never really had him down as a music lover anyway !!
Mick, I knew you would be the one to notice that...

No chance, Dougie. I've never come across any knowledge of G&S in France. On the other hand I've been taken to some very good 19thC French operettas that I'd never heard of...
Thanks to everyone who has called in here,
Moira
Well composed, I love the juxta-position between the two and see it as a significant connection
Once again your choice of monochrome is excellent![]()
