This individual was in a rush. Polar Bears can cover a good distance in a short while, they have a very lage walking gait. Here it has just crossed some open water and it's coat glistens in the low sunlight.

That gait is surprisingly fast for such a huge bear, he covers miles quicker than we can and goes for a bit longer too. The fur coat straight out of the water discards the wet very quickly.
