Thanks for all your comments and votes on the fun upload yesterday, today is a few photos of Polis in Cyprus, this is where we wanted to live but could not get permission to build, they are more relaxed about this now and there is some building going on, it is so peaceful and where the baths of Aphrodite is situated.

Polis (or Polis Chrysochous, in Greek: Πόλις ΧρυσοχούςWink is a small town at the north-west end of the island of Cyprus, at the centre of Chrysochous Bay, and on the edge of the Akamas peninsula nature reserve. It is a quiet tourist resort, the inhabitants' income being supplemented by agriculture and fishing. Polis is served by the fishing port of Latsi—a pole of attraction all the year round and reputed for its fish taverns, sea-sport facilities and boat rides up to Akamas—a must for all Polis visitors. However, the great advantage of Polis is its close vicinity to the utmost beautiful Akamas peninsula, a nature reserve area, destined to become a National Park, with its renowned Baths of Aphrodite. Α walk along its nature trails accompanied by the panoramic view of the bay of Polis is a popular experience with both locals and tourists.

Hi Carol, sorry do not know the lady, was going to upload some versions but the facility is not working, there was nothing wrong with the old way of uploading variants, they have once again made things worst.

Regards

Trev.

So often these scenic shots don't come out as you saw them at the time, but this one certainly looks like it did.
So good you could almost be there.

Not hard to see why you might have wished to live there, Trev: what an outlook to waken up to.
'Polis' is a slang term in the Scottish vernacular for the 'Boys in Blue' and I just wonder what Mikbee will make of this when he sees it.

I'm with Lillian here, v5 steals the show, it epitomises the Meditteranean, love the blue of the sea and sky and those flowers in the foreground
