The Stradun is the main street in the Old Town of Dubrovnik and impossible to find it empty any time of the day or night .. believe me I tried!
You would think we had just had a downpour looking at this but the marble has been polished to a high shine by centuries of feet passing by.
Not too sure about the moon and whether it is distracting but hey ho it was there ![]()
Many thanks as always for your time!

My first impression was that the street was wet, but how wrong I was: a nicely balanced night time shot, the colour version my favourite of the two. I have held my thumb over the moon but can't decide on whether it might be better to exclude it or leave it in. Will be interested to see what others say, Gill.
Ronnie.
Lovely light and reflections Gil
For what it's worth, I think the picture is all about the lighting and reflections on the street and the moon does distract a little
but hey what do I know...you're the expert, I'm just a novice that admires your work
It must have been a fairly fast exposure to capture the people in focus

v1 - the colour version - for me. It's almost a montone beige but shows the slightly different coloured reflections which are not in v2. And a definite no to the moon for me - too distracting. Lovely image.

Great shot !.....amazing that the 'pavement' is 'dry' ?
Love both versions....the 'warm' colours of V1....& the 'impact' of V2, which also eliminates that bright red area in the centre of V1......& once you
spot that, it's difficult to ignore it !!!!!!.....though easy enough to overcome in photoshop !
just wonderful - well I'm glad it is like that now and you have done a great job with this well balanced shot
