I was planting up my window boxes and this poor pansy unfortunately suffered a major stalk injury. It will be fatal so I thought I would make its sacrifice worthwhile by taking some pictures. This one is an experiment with a make shift light box and RAW to see just how much detail a little compact really can capture. The original plain white background did nothing to enhance the flower so I've played around with different effects in photoshop and come up with this...

Glynnis
Thanks Glynnis. Just for the record it seems that the colour has changed quite considerably in compression for upload. I've just opened it again to play some more and noticed it is a totally different shade!
It was intended to reflect the purple pink of the centre of the petals. I wanted to play with harmonising colours rather than strong contasts for this one.
