No Ade - in the past I have tried with several different caterpillars and they have not come out of the chrysalis stage.Leave them be.Smile

Probably best, I've never tried it with this species, but have had "some" success with others.......Still a good find though mate.

I'm not at all keen on caterpillars, Brian, but this is beautiful: wonderful detail and clarity - as usual! Smile

Great catperillar shot Brian with excellent detail. I have seen plenty of the Poplar Kitten moths, but this is the first photo I have seen of the caterpillar. A most unusual looking creature.

An interesting creature - it looks half-and-half with those "bits" (pamelajean, thanks for that word, I was wondering Smile) at the back. You can tell who're the naturalists amongst us can't you?! Superb colours and very interesting structure. I'd love to see it evolve into adulthood.

My mind is having a problem which to be more wowed by - the caterpillar or your shot of it. Both are thoroughly amazing, Brian...good grief...

Fascinating little creature - detailed to perfection, right down to the minute hairs on the 4 sets of back feet!! Wonderful textures and colours. Have never ever seen one of these before.
