Firstly, a big thankyou to Anthony (zapar 40) for favouring my "Flight Over The Lake" with his User Award.
Staying at Harold Hillier Gardens and their "Art In The Garden" exhibition, these stainless steel poppies are the work of Steve Blaylock and the larger-than-life sculpture (taller than me) was priced at £4,650.
I nearly binned these pictures because the light was strong on the stainless steel and I felt the contrast was too high, but I loved the reflections, and so I have done a bit of work on them, including altering the sky, and am now glad I didn't bin them.
2 versions for you.
Pamela.

Brilliant shot. That exhibition must have been something to see. You are capturing the exhibits superbly. Don
Two super metallic shiners, with reflections. Well done ![]()

V1 definitely works better, V2 is a bit complicated. I like the way you have kept this dark and brooding - whatever you have done with the sky it 'sits' well with the light on the metal.
Glimpses of fabulous reflections - I'd like to get in close...

The separation in v1 works better, Pamela. Beautifully 'recovered'.

V1 for me for its simpler composition, quite lovely.
What a wonderful piece of work...and two wonderful captures here, Pamela, love 'em both, so glad you didn't bin them! ![]()

V1 makes me think of shower heads or those hair dryer thingys in a ladies hairdressers. V2 brings to mind a public loudspeaker system, "Now hear this! This is a public message. There is no need to panic, but..."
Did you have to polish these first, Pamela?
Malc
v1 very alien and so stunning. May I ask you for the seeds please ![]()
