Bit late in the day uploading today :-( time seems to be running away today, but hey ho. I spotted this poppy while out for a walk the other day, and me being me I decided to go in as close as I could rather than capture the whole flower.

Have just been looking at a non dissimilar image posted by Nicky, Hugh: the poppies are great subjects for a close-up inspection like this. very nicely done.

Excellent macro shot of this poppy Hugh. I have a small clump in my garden, and would have take a similar shot, but was distracted by a bee on another plant, and then the wind got up, so the poppies wouldn't keep still.
