I'm not sure if this is silly enough for Silly Sunday, but it sure is cute.

Meet the latest addition to the lovely Cathy's family. This is Poppy. Go on, go "AAAaaaahhhh", you know you want to.

She was a reluctant model at first (see versions) but she was ok once she settled down.

I was going to show them in sequence, but I thought this was the best shot, so I led with it. The order should be:
V2 - sneaking about, trying not to have the big scary thing pointed at me.
V3 - Oh no, spotted. WOW what was that snapping noise?
V1 - settled & used to the new noises & big scary black tube.
V4 - This is why she's called Poppy. Because when Cath got her, she looked like her eyes were popping out.

Love the dainty raised paw in V2. You've done well, my niece has a new kitten, I didn't even attempt to photograph him he moves so fast.

These display to the full the wide-eyed wonderment of a young kitten - and some of the infinite capacity for devilry too Smile

Thank you all very much for your kind words.

She is a little cutey, & a right feisty little thing. I've seen lively animals before, but she's like a perpetual motion machine, always on the go.

Cathy's daughter visited yesterday with her somewhat bigger, kitten, Freddy. Poppy wouldn't back down, & just wouldn't leave him alone, even when he'd got bored of playing chase, & just wanted to look around.

Jenny put freddy in his box at one point, & Poppy still wouldn't let him be, pawing at him through the bars.

She's like a dog with a bone!! Smile

Awwwwww — adorable!

At the moment, I'm staying with a friend who has five (adult) cats so I know just how hard it is to get photos of this quality.
