Firstly I would like to thank JohnHawthorne for his User Award on Purple Rhododendron, and PattiW for her User Award on Blue Lacecap Hydrangea. Thanks, John and Patti, I am delighted.

This kissing pair were found at Exbury Gardens. I used some green card behind them when I took the picture, but still decided to alter it. I used flash to brighten the centres.
Thankyou for your continued interest in my flower series.
I enjoy your comments, and am grateful to you for your votes.

Pamela.

Fabulous frilly detail and lovely colour Pamela. I would have liked a bit of foliage in this but that takes nothing from your work on this.

This is divine, Pamela, and the backgrounding you've done is just perfect. And the detail in the middle!

Tell you what I find most impressive, though...that flash was used and there's no burnout anywhere. Good control Smile

KAREN and BRIAN.
I really do appreciate your observations and suggestions, they give me food for thought.
This is not an excuse, just an explanation, because I also like stems and a bit of foliage most of the time.
The card that I take when visiting gardens has a cut to the middle, with a circular cut at the end (in the centre), so that I can fit it onto the flower stem, just under the flower, and it doesn't need holding, so I have my hands free.
I could have taken a shot of the leaves and stem, and added them in, I suppose. I have done that beforeWink.
Pamela.

Mmm. A difficult one! The only thing I could think of doing is placing a peg gently on the stem (under the card), as far down the stem as needed - though that might give you other problems. But, as you are so good with manipulations perhaps your idea of taking a picture of the stem/foliage will give a more pleasing result.

After saying that, Brian and I seem to be in the minority, so in the end you must please yourself - if you are happy with the end result then it's Perfect! Grin
