Prowling the garden with the IXUS gave rise to another close up opportunity. This seed head knocked horizontal by the snow had nevertheless survived the hard weather in a depleted state!
Thanks to all for recent votes and comments.
I do like this seed pod --getting ready to scatter its flowers for another summer--- Good Eyes!
Lovely concept at play here. I like your image.
Nice bit of differential focus, Mike. What lies beyond the seed pod used to be called a 'blurred background'. Now, apparently, we have to call it 'bokeh (which I think is Japanese for 'blurred background'). Jargon infests everything sooner or later. There are a few burnt out highlights on the pod. If you shoot RAW, you could probably pull in the detail on them in your computer - but I'm not sure whether an Ixus does RAW.
A lovely sharp macro shot.
Absolutely beautiful macro work. Superb!
