I like the semi shiny texture of the man's clothing--texture adds to the funeral mood as do the bird shapes. He is walking away from the viewer, which is both good and bad, good for the image, bad for him who may be needing some support!

Nice ethereal, spooky feel to this image
Really like it

Straight from a E. A. Poe tale. This is another excellent work, Anne!

this is simply excellent Anne!
the light, the grain, the birds so important to give us the sense of depth and the statue seen from a low point of view, everything works just perfectly.
one of the best pictures seen so far here

Dreamlike and disturbing. I like the way the diagonal of the roof line falls away into blur in the background.

This could be a Dicken's character....or as stated above, one from Poe.
In any case, a fine moody image.

Rude words, Pete has got his HC in first... Tongue I've been out this morning and thinking about this one a lot. So anyway, add a humble GEA to the tally.

fantastic, this could be a film poster or a book title as there is a whole story in this picture.
The POV is excellent, the disappearing birds are very symbolic.

So often mono photography tends to take a back seat - but when a photographer gets the lighting and texture spot on as in this case - it’s a hard act to follow.

No hesitation awarding top marks here.
