Clough Williams-Ellis built Portmeirion from 1925 to 1975 on a peninsula off the coast of Snowdonia to show how 'the development of a naturally beautiful site need not lead to its defilement'. He fought for Beauty - "that strange necessity".
This was also the setting for the cult TV programme 'The Prisoner'

Hi Mick. Good composition again with the path leading the eye up to the tower.
Dave.

Good clear and nicely exposed shot. My husband and I went there last year (we go to Wales every year) however we could not go into Portmeirion because we had the dog with us. We now have an idea what we missed!! Well done!

Nice shot, difficult to get with all the white buildings and bright sunlight.
