Due to the need to do some fairly serious DIY and having a stinking cold for a week. I havnt been out with the camera for quite a while now. So here is another from the back-up hard drive.
I uploaded a cropped version of this shot back in 2010 but always wanted to have another go at the processing. I am much happier with this this but thought I would upload the uncropped version.

This is a beautiful and somewhat surreal photo. I love the imagery, symmetry and simplicity.
Many thanks to Zoran, Paul and Ann for their UAs. Wonderful to receive and very much appreciated.

Just spotted the EC. Many thanks Pete thats really great.
Mr Hansen, that's a brilliant image! No UA available but it doesn't need one from me. It speaks for itself - simply outstanding. I would resist any temptation to crop so that the crests of the furrows lead from the corners as it currently has greater impact with that long run in to the lone tree.

Magic! Pov, lead, composition, light: right time of day to get one side of the furrows in shadow.
EC well deserved ![]()

Thank you everyone for the comments and an extra special thank you to Chris for his UA.
It had to be you...
Some serious photography here Derek, a signature image from you as ever, top drawer quality and composition.

I saw this location driving over to my sisters after a shoot down at Camber Sands. I did a double take and slammed on the brakes. Potato planting seems to be rare in Kent so coming across the field in such perfect conditions was something I couldnt pass up. I checked in following years and potatoes were not planted again. The field now has a farm shop just beyond that horizon so has a large roof behind the tree from this angle.
Quote: Can't add anything else really; strong verticals and lead in lines, focal point, colour is great; I think it would lose something as mono.
I made the assumption that it would look quite good in mono but I was wrong and you were right. After trying several conversions I came to the conclusion that it was stronger in colour.
Wow what a top notch photo Derek just love that perfect composition.
Excellent, If i had an award to give I would.
