At last... I managed to borrow a string of Pearls from one of my work colleagues,they are old & belonged to her Grandmother.
The Oyster-shaped musical Powder Compact belonged to my Great Aunt.
I do like the reflection in the little mirror & I tried to apply textures to compliment the colour of the compact.

A 3 frame HDR image,combined & tonemapped in Photomatix.
Raw files converted in C1.
Textures added on adjusment layers in Photoshop.

I think you finally cracked the powder puff conundrum Jan. The pearls go well as does the background texture. Nice to see that it's not all pin sharp as well ... those out of focus foreground pearls give the image a nice bit of depth, as does the reflection of course.
