Echinacea purpurea, 'Praire Splendor', or in simple terms. a ConeflowerSmile
Taken in my garden, a one handed shot as I had to hold the stem as it was quite breezy. The centre looks, to me, like small brushes or pencils in a potSmile Cropped and framed on picnikSmile

Thank you all very much for your votes and comments on 'Custard Cream' and for your time. Very much appreciatedSmile
Take care...........................Pauline

Pauline this is a lovely close up and it is nice to see the intricate swirl formation in the centre, you have also captured the texture of the petals extremely well. Carole

An excellent image. The double spiral caused by the Fibonacci sequences in the centre of the flower are well captured.
