Just back from a trip to Nepal, to Everest base camp. This picture was shot from above Namche Bazar and encorporates the prayer flags that are so abundant in Nepal.
Great POV, wonderfully evocative shot.
Man! that is steep!!
What makes this absolutely stunning and nerve-jangling for me (it is well steep!) is the view of the houses hundreds of feet below. It gives this image a perspective that is, for me, beyond description. Love it.
Thanks for your kind comments guys - it was a bit steep but worth the risk for the photo I think (just).
Subject .... Powerfull!
Wow for the depth! What a drop...
What a memory! Great colours and POV.
What a great shot, brilliant POV. Nice to see you back.
Thats a long way down great pov .
A friend who had been to India had images of prayer flags,
so was interested in yours.
Congratlations on your climb and danger involved in such an amazing shot.
The flags are really interesting.
My parents in law went to Everest base camp(my ma in law made it, my pa in law had to pull up short)...I;m very envious of them..and you.
Fantastic photo, like the choice of aperture to keep the market discernable but not intrusive.
..ps..look forward to seeing more of this trip!!
