A male common blue butterfly basking in some summer sunshine on a bright and breezy Sunday afternoon in the masts field at Prestbury Hill nature reserve near Cheltenham. Very difficult not to oversharpen these, but this is oversharpened, I agree with Ade, and Ive loaded a mod with less sharpening. Could well be a little too much less, but you can at least see it makes quite a difference. I would also crop to place the Butterfly on a third. try not to use those borders that are the same as the dominant colour as the shot, - they dont work well. The purpose of a border is to frame, meaning indicate the edge of a shot, and these ones done do that. Ive includes a different frame in the mod to show what I mean.
Good effort though at 300mm.

No there aren't, you have to look hard to find the ones that are around, there have been nothing like the numbers in previous years
wonderful iridescent blue! You certainly won't get the blues about this one.
