I sit here shivering Ed looking at these scenes, V4 for the subtle colours for me.
Regards
Trev.
V2 for me because of the angle of the snow highlights.
I love all three b&w variants, this subject needs mono. I love the way snow gives trees a graphic look, as though they were outlines drawn in ink.
I enjoy the subdued feel of these uploads, it's very English, very true. But I'd like to see a bit more contrast in these, to enhance that graphic feel.
Moira
v2 as well, Ed, the angle makes it more dynamic.

One is not always aware of the beauty of winter until you see the snow on the trees in this way, a beautiful sight but one we might overlook in our normal daily life as we move around probably complaining of the slippery conditions or the bitter cold atmosphere.
Ed, these are the best of your recent series on winter. The first three are excellent, colour does not give the same impact, but I feel they need a touch more contrast to emphasise the difference between the black of the trees and the white of the snow on them.

Many thanks for all your comments and clicks, they are much appreciated, Ed
Despite a few springlike days we haven't escaped the grip of winter yet!![]()
All very nice. I love the way the snow lies in a strip down the tree trunks, a fascinating natural phenomenon that really enhances the shapes.
Love the ink pen feel to these trees - v1 and v2 are my favourites here ![]()
