Yet another clanger today, but you know me, I can't resist them This fella wasn't prepared to hang about long, though, as V.2 shows.
So great captured

A great image Carol, and V2 is amazing, I did not realize that he has all that hiding underneath, well captured

Cool, Clangers are my absolute favourite insect ever. Lovely shots Carol.
Wow! So much detail in V2. Two very clever shots here Carol. Well done.

Excellent composition in V1, we are looking over its shoulder.

Like a rusty bullet, Carol, and beautifully timed.
Such a spoil sport, but you did get one shot in time! I can see why you can't resist them - they're so cute!
Great wing movement in v2
Perfectly posed, perfectly captured Carol.
Two great images - I like a lot! V1 for me, just edges it!!
Great shots, Carol.
I love the rusty texture maybe this is RAS coat of arms beastie
Amazing looking insect with that rusty coat.
Two great images.
Two brilliant images love the flower it settled on too - Elizabeth xx
Cracking looking beastie
V1 pin sharp Carol but I also like the movement captured in V2,
Looks like he's gone rusty! But two super captures here, Carol - wonderful detail in V1, and a very well-timed shot in V2, just as he's taking off
V1 is splendid Carol, but getting the wings open and moving in v2 is spectacular. We don't always think of these guys as being able to make a hasty getaway.
It looks like a bit of rusty old metal. Superb Carol...both of them...I@m slowly getting to grips with my new toy but as I am not technically minded it's taking me a while.
V1 Carol is such a BEAUTY!!
A fine set.
Excellent captures Carol.
It'll never fly
2 great shots Carol
2 beauties Carol
two great shots carol.
Superb captures, Carol !
Faultless shots !!!..........amazing how it looks like 'rusty-metal' ????????
As Annette touched on, looks as if a prolonged stay in the rain has induced some oxidization
Cold and foggy until dinner, then the sun broke through and we reached +5C
This shot has so much going for it -- composition, detail, great subject (both flower and creature), very nice background.
Two wonderful images Carol, V1 is my favourite
V1 for me Carol - wonderful textures and colour.
Beautiful captures Carol............... He looks rusty............ V1 my fave!
Two excellent captures Carol. V2 is spectacular.
Parece de chocolate. Otra fotografía maravillosa..
Superb Color, Clarity, tones, & Composition ~
I love this little beast! Specially the V2 capture with open wings!
Two tremendous close ups Carol, Mikbee will love him because of his rustiness. I reckon he must have turned that colour as a result of all that rain and damp weather!
