Upgrade to e2 to browse all photos automatically at their largest size.Our final destination before leaving the island was to Summerside where I had the opportunity of shooting this panorama, which is four shots stitched. This shows the west end, which is (I suppose) the more 'touristy' part. Taking this, I was up in a lighthouse, which is part of the Spinnaker Landing boardwalk complex shown in V2. V3 is included to explain the cargo being unloaded from the ship you can partly see on the left. The two trucks (lorries) sitting on the dock are each waiting to load a wind turbine blade, the first was just leaving as I reached the top of the lighthouse so I just missed it. I had never seen one of these close up before and had no idea they were so huge, which explains the extreme length of the truck beds. PEI has a goal to generate about 30% of its electricity by wind power, I believe they are well on the way to achieving this.
