Who can resist photographing these birds? So beautiful. And you've certainly done this one justice, Lavina.

How very regal he looks, and I am sure from the glint in his eye, he knows it. A wonderful capture Lavina of those beautiful bird and his glorious iridescent colours ... Carol Grin

Several years ago, four flew in from who knows where, and landed on the roof of our outbuilding, they spent the day with us jumping from outbuilding to conservatory to bathroom roof and feeding in the garden, as the sun started to go down off they flew and we felt so chuffed at the time ... but, when the rain came, the roof of the conservatory and outbuilding started to leak and we had to replace them both Sad but worse still all photos were lost on a stupid cd.
