I'm just back from Madeira and sorting out the hundreds of photos taken there.
It was a week's holiday that got extended to ten days by the flight ban. But, hey, who's complaining when the holiday company is paying for your continued stay in a very nice hotel !
So this is probably the first of many from that trip - a yellow Protea flower, native of South Africa, but here shot in Blandy's Gardens near Funchal. Flower in full sun, with deeply shadowed vegetation in the background.
