I like this shot. It's got a great composition with the lad crossing the frame and captured nicely against the pavement in a spot between some of those background peeps. I've uploaded a mod though as the guy on the left looks as though he's busting for a wee and distracts mightily from the central action. Also cropped out the top as it didn't add anything IMHO, which also goes for the right side of the pic, but of course this is all personal...
The sepia was OK, but I changed it back to normal mono and dodged the brolly, sock and a few bits of litter that were bright on the far right of the image.
Finally, burnt in the reflection of the lad a little.
Well caught!
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Goggz

Hi Ian,
I thought this was one of yours as soon as I saw it!
I like this too.
I've gone a similar route to Goggz and used B/W. I simply used an adjustment layer and pulled the red back a bit.
I've also cropped it but I've taken some from the top and bottom and the RHS. which puts the boy on a third (ish!) and gets rid of some of the blown bit at the top.
I left the bloke dying for a wee (!) in as I think he balances up to the shot.
Finally, I sharpened it again.
As images go, it's lighthearted and a bit of fun but I could genuinely see this on a wall somewhere.
Hope this helps.
Bren.
Probably the best shot in your portfolio.
Its reminiscent of the famous Cartier Bresson shot of a puddle jumper, - great timing.
I would not do too much with it. One thing that jumps out for me is the band of flare running diagonally from the sky area across the boy, making him have less contrast, - I would address this.
Ive loaded 2 mods with this done, a simple crop from the left which makes a perfect 10 X 8 print, and a straight mono. Any efforts to place the boy on a third would ruin the shot IMO.
regards
Willie
