Pug, converted to B&W with channel mixer, with blue filter at about 10% strength (no filter conversion, with blue filter conversion overlayed, then reduced to 10% opacity and merged). Sharpened with smart sharpen at 76%, 0.6, 0 then running the sharpen tool over the eyes and muzzle. Background darkened a bit.

Trying to achieve a Traer Scott style.

Nice portrait well caught. Is that you I can see in the dogs eyes? If so try a different vantage point to shoot from. Smile

Pretty good shot at his style, might be tempted to darken the background a bit, and maybe a bit of a conventional viewpoint if you are going for his style.

Like it a lot.

This works well in terms of the B&W conversion however I think as a portrait you should try to get closer to the dog's level.

Thanks all for coments and mod. I'm not used to photographing smaller dogs, agree I will try to get lower next time!
