Another from Thursday's visit to Haytor Quarry. As you can see, some of the old machinery remains but it probably needs a squirt of WD40 now. The stone from this quarry was used to build the old London Bridge that is now in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Many thanks for your attention to my previous upload. Your comments on this would be appreciated if you have the time.

I think this is better than your previous upload. A bit darker and broody, which is how I see Dartmoor. You've captured the texture on the quarry face very well. I wish the walls if the quarry weren't so high. They tend to block the good light at the start and end of the day. Cracking image.

The machinery may not be fit for its purpose these days but makes a great addition to this lovely image, a really great shot. - gary

Really nice capture this one, like the old iron in the foreground contrasting with nature.

Good processing David , it seems to soften the detail. Good f/g interest and you've got some nice colour and texture on the central area of water.

Beautiful clarity. I like the way the old machinery adds interest to the foreground.
