Hi all,
I think this is the penultimate crystal upload ! ..
A close-up of some quartz with a few cubic crystals
of mauve Fluorspar.
Quartz is the most abundant mineral and is estimated to
make up over 10% of the mass of the Earth's crust !
Pure quartz, traditionally called rock crystal, is colourless
and transparent or translucent. Common coloured varieties
include citrine, rose quartz, amethyst, smoky quartz and
milky quartz.
All over the world ancient peoples have prized and used quartz for
tools and decoration and mystical ceremony.
Today Quartz is the key component in many of our modern technologies, including timepieces, telecommunication devices and computers.
Many thanks all for all the C&C's on all these crystal pics of mine.
