First off, a big and belated THANK YOU to Pamela (pamelajean) for her wonderful User Award on the last Silly Sunday upload Ė the chilli bite one. Well chuffed with that
Thoroughly appalled with myself, though, that I didnít mention this in my previous (little bug) upload. Bah
Many thanks to all who commented and voted on the little bug, by the way
Now thenÖhereís a simple shadow shot from a shopping mall.
What do you reckon? Colour or BW first?
I canít decide and Iím curious what your eyes feel.
Colour for me, Andrew, though I can't tell you why, I just like the contrast Carol
Not a simple shadow Andrew, an excellent one! Definitely mono for me & great title
Straght lines sweeping lines and angles works well with the shadows.
I normally vote for colour but this is an exception !! I love V1 Andrew - a super shadowy image
I like the subtlety of the colour this time Andrew. Super composition.
Excellent addition to Saturday shadows Andrew.
Colour, but only just
B&W great image, nice shadows and lighting.
The mono for me today Andrew, very stylish.
Super shadows and its mono for me
It's the kind of image which I reckon really works to perfection as a mono!
Either/both images show what your very good eyes have found, superb shadows!
All about the shapes and patterns.... got to be mono for me, Andrew.
I like the B&W. Great shot. Cathy
Such a great point of view, a little curve on the railings, against the straight lines of the steps, so well seen.
It's the colour version for me, not simply because I prefer images in colour, but because the eye goes directly to the strength of the run of deep strong shadows, and the colour is "in the background", subtle and unobtrusive, but it gives the image that little bit of a lift.
Loved v1 straight away - and then I saw v2 -
Gets my User Award today
Terrific shot. Mono version more dramatic in my opinion. Don
I think the shadows look stronger in the mono Andrew.
The colour distracts from them a bit I think !!
superb shot , great light and lines
Superb mono Andrew - great pov and shadow.
Both versions work well Andrew but it is the mono that has more impact IMHO.
