THIS IS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. THOUGHT THE SEPIA WORKED WELL IN THE FINAL RESULT. TAKEN AT A LEVEL PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - I'M NOT THE SUICIDAL TYPE!
I agree. The sepia treatement has worked really well.
Works for me too
Hi.. yes the sepia works well on this image. Try also really bringing out the contrast in the clouds in your software as I think that will up the impact further. This would work very well as a really contrasty lith print effect too.
Whatever motivated you to stand where you did. We have to jetwash enough bodyparts off train underframes from suicides without adding photographers to the list. Also that that third rail carries 750 volts dc. You will die if you touch that.
MAYBE I SHOULD ADD THIS WAS TAKEN AT A PEDESTRIAN LEVEL CROSSING!! I'M NOT THE SUICIDAL TYPE - CHECK OUT WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING! GIVE ME SOME CREDIT! POTTO.
lovely lines (no pun intended) and beautiful tones
I agree with terry re:clouds. There is good detail throughout, and good lead in lines! well done
Great image...I'd try and give it more black levels, might find it gains a bit more oomph...
Different and interesting. The tint works really well.
The toning works very well, especially as the subject is bold with good contrast and strong features.
I love it, Looks Great!!!!
the sepia toning definitely is a great choice for this. adds atmosphere.
The only thing missing from this shot is the "damsel in distress" and the "wicked uncle".
Good shot.. I like taking shots of railway lines also.. as in Train Perspective and Snow Storm Train 2.
A lovely shot and the sepia tone works well, My only ptroblem is that there is something missing that will break the pattern. The lines lead your eye along but there is nothing to rest on. Just a thought.
nice tones, great perspective
Thanks for your comments! I thought that maybe the focus was just on the line, showing the city far ahead in the distance...but what do i know, i'm learning!! Appreciate your opinions!
Thanks for your support!
Like the composition and toning. Pity the shot is dead symmetrical, just my opinion though. Dave.
lovely well worked image.

Another award for you Wendy.
Smashing shot with great lead in lines. Very moody and atmospheric which the sepia treatment adds to. Very well done and congrats on the well deserved RC award.
Hi Wendy, your right they do make good subjects, nice work.
Great composition and the sepia is inspirational
Sepia works well, I also think that the sky detail could have a little more impact, but the composition is very strong, really leads you into the pic.
