Great shot with great detail. Maybe try and close in a little more so that only the water splash is in the frame. There is some flash light within the water, Try bouncing the flash off a surface to make it softer. Well Done

Hello, Paddy. You ask if there is anything you can do to make this shot more interesting. Are you referring to the set/up or to editing?
You might like to have a look at Dave Ovenden's portfolio. This type of photography takes a lot of patience to get right.
The first thing I noticed was that you are using a solid bowl and, although the splash is good and the background is excellent, this lets the image down. Try a clear plain glass/vase/tumbler/bowl so that the splash within the water can also be seen, the bottom of your image won't be so dark and uninteresting. Buy some different coloured card from an art shop and see what difference that makes to the water and the definition.
Pamela.
