i have not edited at all
i thought it looked fine as it was

Funny how a shot like this gets no comments! Yes, it is quite a nice strong image. Red is difficult for digital to record well, and there is a bit of a tonal problem with the red. That's the camera sensor, not you.

Try and compose slightly off centre. The flower would be better nearer the left with more room on the right. I'm not sure the flower is perfectly sharp. Try and hold the camera very still as you press the button.
