One of the last taken from Mondays early morning outing. I thought I might try for a pano (ok...a crop!!) as the conditions were still pretty good. Just as I had composed the shot I saw a walker approaching. Just time to alter the aperture to try to get him sharp...though not enough as he was shifting....that was some bag on his back too! Wink

That's a really nice image Martin - tells a good story. I have an image which I'm sure has you on top of Mam Tor... might send it over when I get a moment Smile

Cheers, Ian.

MAde by the walker, it really gives a sense of open space and solitude.

Tremendous light and the cropincuding the walker is very special. He's got the kitchen sink in there I'd guess.

An excellent photo Martin showing the delights of wandering on the fells.

I was doing this up Wasdale yesterday but got fed up after 5 hours trudging through knee high snow......

Stunning - Mam Tor? I think I can make out the cement works in the bg. beautiful shot and the walker just adds that little something extra but where is he going with that backpack - he must have his entire life in that thing.

Very many thanks for all the comments. I thought the bag probably contained a parachute, but didn't get chance to ask as he was away at a fair old pace...and beakfast was calling so didn't wait to see if he used it on the ridge Wink

Worth viewing the large version where there's a strong sense of depth. So much detail. I love the golden colours.
