A Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris) perching on an ornamental, potted yew shrub, which I had positioned in front of the red acer, to get the background. Had a long wait before a bird decided to perch on it and this Greeny was the only one, that day, who decided to inspect!

Wish mine would return - there quite a few around the feed station, just before I resumed my Autumn photography there - since then - zilch - they all looked in exceptional health too - same goes for the Goldfinches
