Just my kind of picture - it seems to combine anonymity AND personality in the same image - love it..!

Alda, I think if you had shot them from a very much lower point of view they would be much more impressive. (and in the context of Red and Black the oak colour of the floor wouldn't have any place in your frames).

It was a studio tuition course teaching us about lighting, so the floor/backdrop was beyond my control. I did think the floor should have been black though
. As for shooting from a lower point of view - I'm just happy I got some decent images that were in focus and sharp enough lol. I'll worry about the rest later ![]()

spot on.
Taking a bow
v1 for me, Alda. The black floor would make such a strong picture. The lack of face concentrates on the imagery ('anonymity and personality' as stated above). Excellent.

V1 for me too Alda Well done I am guessing you had great time.![]()
I love the pose Alda, so different and effective!

Before voting, I'll be picky...
The toplight is jsut a little much on the upturned face in V3. And a plain black background all the way woudl be even better, I reckon. Others have said both (I notice on looking at the comments above!) But in a group shoot, you didn't have the option of changing either: in a tuition session, you are usually expecting to be told stuff you don't know!
V1 is the best for me as it looks less posed than the other two. The floor is a problem as it does not look like a stage floor. Perhaps just loosing some of the colour in it and darkening it would help?

Great poses Alda, and very nicely taken. Shame about the Trousers though, we had a Washing Machine that did that once too ![]()

These are just fab images Alda - and something different too!! Great lighting and composition. Very well done!

Nice work. V2 for me is the best shot. I like V1, and it would be my pick, but its skewed as you were standing a little to the left, or perhaps pointing the camera to the right. Ive used lens correction in the mod which levels the floor.
Cloudy white balance has made the images very warm, which is nice.
regards
Willie
