Red arrows at farnborough airshow.

I had this picture in the critique gallery for alittle while to get advice. Using the advice I improved the image to post into the main gallery.

Very good, just a little comment if I may.... pity there isn't a little more sky at the bottom of the picture .... but what a great picture !

Brilliant, perhaps a small crop off left may make it even stronger.

thank you all for your comments.

One of the things i loved about this photo when i took it was the sky. towards the end of the day the clouds had come in and got dark which made the red arrows colours stand out, perfect timing. against a blue background the colours would have been lost.

Well manipulated but IMHO it looks so unreal, the smoke colours just make it look false. I was there every day and never saw it look like this, sorry just my opinion.

hi Richard,

The smoke colours actually havent been enhanced that much. What you see is pretty much the real colours, the natural lightening and dark background really helped bring them out. 90% of my red arrows pictures have a deep smoke colour to them.
