Look at that camouflage on the back of the wings - looks like another insect with legs - the first thing a predator would go for - aint nature wonderful. Excellent shot Glen...Bill

the hairstreaks are a passion of mine-- This is so well photographed-- a pleasure to view-- You captured him well before his tails became damaged--I saw one only once--

Clermont is where my daughter lives--- she has been wandering in the parks and ponds--- I gave her my D70 and 70-300mm lens---

Superbly detailed Glen. I love the way you have maintained sharp focus on the butterfly and the plant head but then allowed the stem and BG to drop out of focus.

Had to look hard at this one Glen to see which way it was facing, nature is clever at fooling you & no doubt the things that would prey on the butterfly

Super shot have RC on me

It was good to hear from you I thought you must have given up with EPZ as not come across any images of yours for a long while

A fabulous image of this tiny beauty, i've never heard of this species before. I photographed one of its relatives a tiny white letter hairstreak last summer, which is now extremely rare in the UK
