Like it, excellent close up. I shall have to pop down to Tatton soon, don't want to miss the rut.

A beautiful portrait of the young contender, in another year or two he'll be ready to take on the big boys

Excellent detail Jason well captured, if it was mine I would clone out the the top left corner where the sky just pops into the shot, my eye keeps going to it but that's just me,

Superb image of the young deer with hints of yellow grass in his mouth
to match the yellow flowers at top right.
The eyes are wonderful.
If using in a competition, above advice sounds good but must admit I did'nt notice
the light bits myself. Judges do mark down for light bits on edges!
really like this one Jason.

P.S. I was on a bridge when I took image in Leith.

Stunning capture, Jason. Is it my new screen, or is it slightly over-sharpened? Hard to know. No matter, a marvellous shot.

Thanks for that Malc - I wasn't sure myself after posting it but given that you were thinking the same I suspect that it is a tad over-sharpened. I must take another look. Thanks again.
