This is one of the images taken from gigrin last week. Captured the bird beautifully just before turn but due to snow on ground falling snow was mostly invisible. So I layered in snow from another shot against tree background to give true picture of the moment experienced. What do you think could it work as a piece of art?

Brilliant piece of manipulation

What an amazing shot, so well timed and the detail is spot on.

Great capture with the perfect pose but it looks very flat, I looked at the histogram and the right plus left channels can be adjusted.

If you use PS go to image/adjust/levels.. A pallet with a histogram will come up, you'll see 3 triangles, While holding the alt key on your keyboard click on the left slider and move it to the edge of the histogram, this is your contrast. Do the same for the highlights, the right slider. Don't worry about the mid tones, they look after themself..

I adjusted your image and it looked loads better...

Nice work.
Tony

Firstly, it's a great kite shot, but having looked at it several times now, I want to see 'some' snow falling in the foreground - ie in front of the kite.
Great work all the same.

Great idea to get this image, I do like the Kite's position

Thanks Tony you are right a little contrast helps alot and I also tweaked saturation and that has given it a lift, I try the same with a few of the others and post them later - see what you think!
