A Great Tit (Parus major) perching on the seed pod of a New Zealand Flax plant (Phormium tenax) and taken yesterday against the background of the Japanese Acer shrub in our garden, whose leaves have just turned to red/orange, with a deeper red to follow, if they don't get prematurely blown off!
