Experimenting with some long exposure at West Mersea, Essex
Lovely treatment my friend - like a painting! Well done!
Works very well indeed!
Top of the shop,I think you have got two images there to use.
How you did this?! this is amazing!
I believe it works well
A dreamy feel to it
I would be interested as to the time it was taken
It works well !
Depth, wheel, balance, simplicity , complimentary tones and idea.
Looks good reading the flip as well. Lovely image.
Many thanks for the great comments and Guest Editors Award. I actually took the shot some time ago. I wasn't sure about it at first, but recently resurrected it with some post processing. I recall it was taken quite early in the morning during the regatta week before racing. The boats were struggling to get out to the start, but there was no wind so they were coming in close to shore to get out of the tide. I was playing about with a remote shutter release that I had just discovered you could lock off!
It works really well. The slow shutter has removed distractions while leaving the boats recognisable and a bit abstract. Unique and effective all round, Jacqui
Dreamy is a good word for this image. Like the balance between near and far boats and also the red white and blue sails. The slow shutter has worked really well to create something unique. I like it
Lovely piece of work. So peaceful and beautifully balanced.
Nicely done. Like it.
Beautiful artistic image........Sandy
A beautiful piece of art!
I really like the effect you've achieved here - like a painting. great stuff.
Thanks Ann, I had this printed up for the last club print comp. but bottled at the last minute and entered something less arty!
I had to come back to give you my UA Peter - a very inspiring image and one I'm keen to try for myself. I'd definitely put it in a club competition!! Love it!
Thankyou so much for the UA Ann, I really appreciate it!
I will put it into the club this year, as I already have it printed (but I won't hold my breath!)
I really like the soft presentation. Very nice color as well. Well done!
I have, for many years been a watercolour artist and only recently moved into photography in a serious way..
The artist in you is evident in this lovely image.
Excellent use of colour and good composition.
