One of my more odd images, taken some while ago and has been sitting on my hard drive, while i considered whether to upload it or not Smile Well I am biting the bullet and here it is for your consideration, not everyone's cuppa tea I am sure but I like the simplicity of it Smile

Apologies for only clicking still, live is still somewhat hectic !

Thank you all so much for all your C&C's very much appreciated

Thanks for taking the time to look

Hugh

"An abstract or a minimalistic image?" For me it is both, one which has been cleverly observed captured and framed. The crossing colours reminiscent of the London Underground.

I echo Fred's comment!
I love this sort of photo but I agree, not everyone's cuppa tea - my 'better half' doesn't always agree with my choice of picture!!

I like the contrast in the colours Hugh, and can see where you are coming from with this, I'm sure I would take a shot like that, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Excellent textures and vibrant colour, Hugh. I would maybe have cropped in a bit on the right and bottom, the blue lace/rope loses a bit of focus in that bottom corner. The crop would move the top of the red more off centre as well.

Ooooh yes!
There's a lovely set of contrasts here. Hot and cold colour. Plus the blue cord is so disciplined and single-minded, while the red cord is lazy and relaxed, meandering.
Very clever.

As Graham says the textures are here and so sharp
but have been trying to work out material it was taken on?

Good textures and colours,i agree with Dave, a crop on the right and botton would improve the image.

Not one of your prettier images but very good as far as texture goes with nice negative shapes too.
