My 1500th upload since joining epz back in March 2006, my how the time has flown! A view of Bristol harbour looking over towards Redcliffe, taken late Thursday afternoon on my way home from work. Only an hour or two earlier the skies had been dark and full of rain! The dark green and white ship moored on the left hand side is the Thekla which is used as a floating restaurant, night club and party venue

What a wonderful sky, Ed, and I imagine the Thekla is a great place to party. Wonder how many people over-imbibe and end up in the water Wink Carol

Another fine view across the harbour area, Ed: so fortunate the skies cleared in time for your going home.
Wonder what sort of vessel the Thelka was originally.......the shape suggests a fishing boat of some kind although the superstructure does not quite fit.
Ronnie.

Got a couple of ships in Leith that have been converted for venues Ed.
Seems to be the thing nowadays.
Got a couple that are used as ''offices'' too.
Good shot.
Mick.

A nice one Ed, Ronnie's query got me wondering too, my best guess for Thelka's previous life is a coastal boat with a limited passenger capability!
